Haven't been too active lately. This is why - had shoulder surgery a month ago. Between work, physical therapy, and general pain, I haven't felt like doing much.



The shoulder was impinged (head of the humerus was hitting on the underside of the collar bone) and pretty torn up. They wound up grinding bone off of the underside of the clavicle and acromion. Yow! Shoulder surgery freakin sucks!

On the good side, Dr John and The Neville Brothers are playing the Oregon Zoo next month - and we're going! Great Naw'lins music! Looking forward to it.

Gimp is better in some ways, not as good in others. It's better in geeky ways like scripting. It's not as good when it comes to some of the advanced image processing features.

Photoshop users always complain about Gimp's user interface. To a great extent, I think that's just because they're used to how PS does things. I have the same problem every time I have to use Windows. :)

Remember that neither program is exactly easy to use at first. Luckily, there are a lot of tutorials out there for either.
